Who Can Participate?
*Classes are offered for boys and girls of all ages.

The Sports Conditioning program is designed to enhance an athlete's readiness for any sport they are playing. This program addresses flexibility, functional strength, balance and agility, plyometrics, and aerobics. All of these qualities are necessary for any sporting activity. It is our intent to provide an intense fitness workout while using fun gymnastics and fitness equipment.

 

Flexibility
This is a very important component of athletic ability. Flexibility allows more mobility and is critical for decreasing injuries to the muscles.
Functional Strength
Functional strength incorporates the use of many muscles for specific gross motor tasks. It is a "whole body" approach as opposed to isolating specific muscles for strengthening.
Balance and Agility
Every sport requires a certain amount of balance and agility. We use gymnastics equipment, balls, trampolines, pits and much more to develop these skills.
Plyometrics and Aerobics
Plyometrics is a specific type of training that focuses on improving an athlete's power and speed. We use various pieces of equipment for jumping while incorporating aerobics in the activity.
